The ArtSmart PeopleMap

The ArtSmart PeopleMap tool is a visual representation of all your personal and professional connections as an artist. Done with consideration and kept up to date, it is one of the most important tools. By creating a comprehensive map of your support network, you can identify opportunities, assess relationships, and make informed decisions about your career as artist.

You can upload an existing mailing list, collector list or contact list by creating a spreadsheet (either a Microsoft Excel document or a CSV file). Do this by labeling the first five columns with the PeopleMap headings (Name, Type, Goal, B Goal and Tier), then typing the appropriate information for each person in a row under these headings (if there isn't a B Goal, leave that entry empty). Finally, press the Upload/Download button on the PeopleMap to upload your spreadsheet.

Always download your PeopleMap after making changes to it online of any kind, because if you wipe your browser cache or history or use another browser, your PeopleMap information will be lost. Protect your hard work, and click the Upload/Download button to save the latest version of your PeopleMap as a spreadsheet on your computer. Upload this saved spreadsheet each time you want to work on your PeopleMap – picking up where you left off.
